Waccamaw Red

A traditional Southern red Muscadine, rich with fruit and balanced sweetness.

Taste

Waccamaw Red is a traditional Southern red made from a blend of red Muscadine grapes. Sweet and intensely fruity, it has distinctive Muscadine aromas and plenty of ripe grape flavor from the first sip. Its sweetness is balanced by a crisp, zesty finish with a slight bite at the end. Rich, but still an easy sipping wine.

It's one of those bottles we find ourselves reaching for again and again. With the unmistakable taste of ripe Muscadine and just a little warmth at the finish, this wine is reminiscent of picking sun-warmed grapes and eating them right off the vine!

Pairings

Waccamaw Red pairs especially well with herbs, spices, and rich, earthy flavors. Try it with mushrooms, wild game, Carolina BBQ, or dishes seasoned with savory herbs and spices. A rosemary venison roast or orange-glazed duck are two of our favorites. It's also great to sip alongside rich chocolate!

It’s also one we love to cook with.

Add a splash to homemade red sauce, where the wine helps soften the acidity of the tomatoes while complementing the herbs and spices already in the pot. Waccamaw Red is just as comfortable in the recipe as it is in the glass.

Serving

Pour Waccamaw Red shortly after taking it from the wine cooler and allow it to breathe as it gently comes up in temperature. As it opens, more of its rich fruit and savory-friendly flavors can come forward.

Waccamaw Red is best enjoyed young rather than saved for long-term aging. Once opened, reseal the bottle and return it to the refrigerator to help preserve its freshness.
