Waccamaw White
(WAH-kuh-maw)
A crisp, fruity white Muscadine with just enough sweetness
Taste
Waccamaw White is a smooth, fruity white wine made from the Magnolia variety of the Muscadine grape. Light on the palate with just enough sweetness, it is easy-drinking and flavorful with a fresh, crisp finish. It falls comfortably between our drier and sweeter wines, making it an approachable, middle-of-the-road choice.
Part of what makes Waccamaw White interesting is how the flavor develops as you sip. The first taste may seem lighter and crisper, but as your palate adjusts, the wine’s sweetness becomes more noticeable. Much like the way sweet and salty flavors play off one another, each sip can bring something slightly different forward.
Light without lacking flavor, Waccamaw White has a surprising amount of depth for such an easy-drinking wine.
Pairings
Waccamaw White is especially fun alongside foods with some heat. Try it with jambalaya, Low Country boil, Thai or Mexican dishes, or even jalapeño poppers. The wine brings the spice and seasoning of the dish forward, while the food can make the wine itself seem a little drier.
It’s also an easy match for seafood, chicken dishes, and plenty of everyday meals. Light enough not to overpower the plate but flavorful enough to hold its own, Waccamaw White is one of our most versatile wines at the table.
For something a little unexpected, pair it with decadent white chocolate. The creamy sweetness plays beautifully with the fruity flavors of the wine, making for a surprisingly delicious combination.
Serving
Waccamaw White is best served chilled. A good chill keeps its fruitiness refreshing and allows that fresh, crisp finish to stand out, particularly when you're serving it alongside spicy foods.
Like many Muscadine wines, Waccamaw White is meant to be enjoyed young rather than aged for years. Its fresh fruit character is part of its appeal, so this is a bottle to enjoy rather than tuck away in the cellar.
Once opened, reseal the bottle and refrigerate it to help preserve its freshness.

RAISE A GLASS...
There’s a reason you’ll find Waccamaw White at so many weddings here at the vineyard. With just enough sweetness and a smooth, easy-drinking style, it tends to win over both dry and sweet wine drinkers, making it an easy choice when there’s a whole room to please.
