Sister's Folly
A soft, semi-dry white Muscadine made from the Carlos grape that pairs with seafood and poultry.
Taste
Sister’s Folly is our driest white wine, made from the Carlos variety of the Muscadine grape. Soft and semi-dry, it has a mellow, lightly fruity flavor with the distinctive character of the Muscadine still coming through. It is gentle on the palate rather than sharply crisp, with just enough natural fruitiness to soften its drier finish.
Carlos is a sweet, bronze-colored Muscadine variety/cultivar commonly grown throughout the South. Even when used in a drier-style wine, some of that natural fruit character still shines through. If you typically reach for dry white wines, Sister’s Folly is a great place to start with Muscadine.
Pairings
Sister’s Folly and seafood are a natural match. Try it alongside mahi-mahi, sea bass, tilapia, snapper, grouper, crab cakes, calamari, shrimp, or scallops. Its softer, semi-dry character complements seafood without overpowering its more delicate flavors. It also pairs beautifully with poultry, making it an easy bottle to bring to the dinner table.
For something a little simpler, serve it with hard cheeses and fresh figs. And don’t be afraid to take this one into the kitchen! Sauté scallops with butter, garlic, and a splash of Sister’s Folly, pour a little in the pan to sear crab cakes, or use it as the wine in a homemade shrimp scampi.
Serving
This wine is best served chilled. Pour it straight from the cooler, or keep the bottle chilled on ice while enjoying it alongside fresh seafood or another lovely meal.
Unlike wines intended to develop over many years in the bottle, Sister’s Folly is best enjoyed young. Muscadine wines can oxidize more quickly than many traditional wines, so this is not one to tuck away in the cellar for a special occasion years down the road. Enjoy it while it is fresh and at its best!

Dry
Sweet
*Muscadines are naturally sweet grapes, so “dry” is relative. Expect a softer, fruit-forward dryness, more comparable in sweetness to a Pinot Grigio than an intensely dry white. Keep an open mind. Muscadines might surprise you.
