The Muscadine grapes, known as "Native American Grapes", are naturally low in sugar and are extremely high in antioxidants, higher than the vinifera grapes.
"Dr. Serge Renaud, a French scientist and pioneer in alcohol research, told us that moderate drinking can reduce heart attacks by 50 percent. Dr. Renaud believes, along with many other doctors, that antioxidants in wine help prevent damage to blood vessels, help prevent heart disease and that alcohol and as many as 400 other chemicals in wine raise the level of HDLs in blood, the so-called good cholesterol that helps prevent heart attack and stroke." - Morley Safer, Reporter, 60 Minutes on CBS
Muscadine Grapes Contain Highest Level of Antioxidants Ever Tested in a Natural Product
Muscadines and Heart Disease: A task force concludes: "Individuals reporting moderate amounts of alcohol intake (approximately one to three drinks daily) have a 40 to 50 percent reduction in coronary artery disease risk compared with individuals who are abstinent." It's important to note, however, that health benefits were greatest with only two or three glasses of wine per day (one for women). Drinking more increased health risks.

Sister’s Folly Carlos:Carlos is a semi-dry wine, which captures all the rich mellow characteristics of the Carlos grape. Grown in the sandy soils of North Carolina. Best served chilled with poultry and seafood.
Waccamaw White: Made from Magnolia grapes. A medium, smooth and fruity white wine with a fresh crisp finish. Waccamaw’s very name evokes the magic of the South and makes the perfect gift to bring to any dinner party. Serve chilled.
Picnic Red: Our most complex wine. We call this the "kissing" wine....add a little romance to your life. The sweetest of all of our Red Wines. Its wonderfully rich flavor makes a tremendous wine for marinating. Serve chilled.
Waccamaw Red: The traditional Southern Red Muscadine wine, Waccamaw Red is slightly sweet with an intense fruit flavor. This wine brings back memories of the Old South with stately mansions, warm sunshine and gracious hospitality. Serve chilled.
Old Timer’s Festival: Made from the Scuppernong grape, the oldest and most famous variety of Vitis rotundifolia. No Southern plantation dinner would have been complete without this delicious dessert wine. Serve chilled.
